What made me decide to become a travel advisor? I have always loved to travel to new places near and far and see the world outside my bubble. Growing up, I didn’t have many opportunities to go beyond Tennessee, and even then, it was Gatlinburg. Don’t get me wrong…Gatlinburg is beautiful and a must-see for many who love nature. I was just ready for more options, so as I became an adult, I chose new locations. But, I remember our high school senior trip was in 1979 (??) to Florida. Most of us got sooo sun burned as we were not using sunscreen back then nor wore hats. Recently, our class reunited to share old memories and this was one of them!
I wanted to learn more about the industry, so I decided to become an advisor. I had traveled to Europe, several Caribbean islands and around the states and felt comfortable sharing my ideas with others. Do I still have a lot to learn? You bet. And, I do various training monthly (or more often) to learn as much as possible to share with clients.
